The UC San Diego Summer Program for Incoming Students (SPIS) is a 5-week residential pre-college program designed for incoming UC San Diego freshmen, particularly those admitted to AI, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Math/CS, and Data Science majors. The program aims to provide college-level exposure to AI (machine learning) and computer science/engineering, emphasizing problem-solving, communication skills, and mathematical modeling.
